The problem

Biology looks like the easy science. That is exactly why it goes wrong.

Plate 01

No formula to fall back on

In Physics and Chemistry, a student who forgets can sometimes derive. In Biology there is nothing to derive — so the moment understanding is missing, cramming is the only option left.

Plate 02

The paper asks why

The board paper is full of application-based questions the student has never seen in that exact form. A memorised definition cannot answer them. A reason can.

Plate 03

Class 12 inherits Class 11

Genetics assumes cell division. Biotechnology assumes molecular biology. A gap left open in Class 11 does not stay in Class 11 — it reappears, larger, in the board year.

What it costs

Bright students walk away from medicine, biotechnology and research — not because they could not have done it, but because somewhere in Class 11 they quietly decided they were not smart enough. That is the actual cost of two years of cramming, and it is not paid in marks.

The Core Method

Connect. Clarify. Convert.

Three steps, run on every chapter of both years.

01

Connect

Every chapter opens with something the student has already seen — a browning apple, curd setting in summer, a plant leaning at a window. The NCERT term arrives afterwards, when there is somewhere for it to stick.

02

Clarify

The mechanism is built from the core outward, and checked, before any terminology is layered on. If a student cannot say why, the chapter is not finished — whatever the calendar says.

03

Convert

Understanding a chapter and scoring in it are different skills. Application questions, weekly tests and board-pattern answer writing turn the first into the second.

Class 11 · CBSE

The foundation year

Class 11 is where Biology stops being a third of a Science paper and becomes a subject of its own. Five units, hundreds of terms, and every one of them arriving in the same term as Physics and Chemistry.

This is also the year that decides Class 12. Genetics needs cell division. Biotechnology needs molecular biology. Human Physiology in Class 12 needs Human Physiology from Class 11. Get this year built properly and the board year becomes revision instead of repair.

  • Extra time on Photosynthesis, Respiration and Meiosis — the heaviest chapters of the year
  • Weekly practice tests from the first month, not from January
  • Application-based questions taught alongside every chapter
Syllabus · Class 11
  • Diversity in the Living World — taxonomy, systematics, the five-kingdom classification
  • Structural Organisation — morphology and anatomy of flowering plants, animal tissues
  • Cell Structure and Function — organelles, biomolecules, mitosis and meiosis
  • Plant Physiology — photosynthesis, respiration, plant growth regulators
  • Human Physiology — digestion, breathing, circulation, excretion, locomotion, neural and chemical coordination
Class 12 · CBSE

The board year

Genetics, Molecular Inheritance, Evolution and Human Physiology carry the highest marks in the board paper — and they are exactly where most students lose them. Not because the chapters are unfair, but because they cannot be crammed.

From the second term, everything turns towards the paper itself: full pre-board and board mock papers, timed, and marked the way an examiner marks them — including where marks get lost for an unlabelled diagram or a missing NCERT term.

  • The four highest-weight units taught first and revisited twice
  • Answer-writing taught as a skill: what "explain" means versus "describe"
  • Pre-board and board mocks, with a marked script back each time
Syllabus · Class 12
  • Reproduction — sexual reproduction in flowering plants, human reproduction and reproductive health
  • Genetics and Evolution — Mendelian inheritance, molecular basis of inheritance, theories of evolution
  • Biology in Human Welfare — health and disease, immunity, cancer, AIDS, microbes in human welfare
  • Biotechnology — principles, processes, recombinant DNA technology and its applications
  • Ecology and Environment — organisms and populations, ecosystems, biodiversity, environmental issues
Where the marks are won and lost

Six chapters get more time than the calendar allows.

These are the ones students find hardest — and the ones the board paper leans on hardest. Slowing down here is the single highest-return decision in two years.

Plate 01 · Class 12

Molecular Basis of Inheritance

Hard because you cannot see any of it.

Taught as one continuous process you can draw from memory — replication, transcription, translation — one arrow at a time, with the reason for each step said out loud before the diagram goes on the board.

Plate 02 · Class 12

Principles of Inheritance & Variation

Heavy, technical, and full of crosses that all look alike.

Rules first, crosses second. Once the rule behind the ratio is clear, a dihybrid cross stops being a puzzle and becomes arithmetic.

Plate 03 · Class 12

Biotechnology — Principles & Processes

Hard to visualise, so it usually gets memorised.

Taught as a workflow with a purpose at every step: cut, join, insert, select. Nothing in the chapter is arbitrary once you know what the scientist was trying to do.

Plate 04 · Class 11

Photosynthesis & Respiration in Plants

The heaviest technical chapters of Class 11.

Taught as an energy budget. Once you are tracking where the energy comes from and where it goes, the cycles stop being names to remember.

Plate 05 · Class 11

Neural & Chemical Coordination

The chapters that confuse students most.

Two control systems, separated completely before they are ever compared — so the wires and the hormones never get tangled in the answer sheet.

Plate 06 · Class 11

Cell Cycle & Cell Division — Meiosis

Every stage looks like the one before it.

Stages built one at a time with what actually changes in each, so Prophase I stops being a list of five words to cram.

Proof

Two students, in their own numbers.

Story 01 · Class 12 board exam

20 out of 70 → 50 out of 70

A Class 12 student who was frightened of Biology scored 20 out of 70 in her pre-board theory paper. In the board exam she scored 50 — a thirty-mark change in one term, on the same syllabus.

Story 02 · taught entirely online

99 out of 100, and a medical seat

One student scored 99 out of 100 in Biology and went on to secure a seat at a medical college — taught entirely through online classes.

What is included

Eight things, every week, for the whole year.

This is a course, not a set of classes. Everything listed is included for every student, in both Class 11 and Class 12, whether they attend in Dehradun or online.

Fees

₹18,000 for the course

Batch timings and the payment schedule are confirmed on the first call — after the free trial class, not before it. Nothing is payable to attend the trial.

  • 01 Live classes, in a small groupThe teaching itself — in Hindi and English, in person in Dehradun or live online.
  • 02 A recording of every classFor the night before a test, or the week your child had fever.
  • 03 Chapter notesWritten for the board answer sheet — not photocopied from a guidebook.
  • 04 Worksheets, chapter by chapterIncluding the application-based questions that decide the top band.
  • 05 A practice test every weekSo a weak chapter is found in week two, not in the pre-board.
  • 06 Pre-board and board mock papersFull papers, timed, and marked the way an examiner marks them.
  • 07 Doubt-solving between classesA doubt on Sunday night does not wait for Tuesday.
  • 08 Parent updatesYou hear how your child is actually doing, before the report card tells you.
A fair comparison

Most students here are also looking at Aakash, Allen or Physics Wallah.

They are serious institutes and they do one job extremely well: entrance preparation at scale. That is a different job from this one, and the honest difference is worth stating.

What large institutes are built for

Entrance exams, at volume

Big batches, a fixed national schedule, and a syllabus aimed primarily at NEET. If your child is already scoring well, self-driven, and preparing for an entrance exam, that model works and is often the right choice.

What Corebio is built for

The board paper, in a small group

A group small enough that a confused face gets noticed in the moment, and teaching aimed at the CBSE board paper your child actually sits. If Biology is the subject going wrong — not the subject being optimised — this is the one built for that.

Before you decide

The two questions every parent asks.

Question 01

"Will online classes actually work?"

The student who scored 99 out of 100 and went on to a medical seat was taught entirely online. Online works when the group is small enough that a confused face gets noticed, every class is recorded, and there is a test every week. That is exactly how these classes run.

Question 02

"We are already going to a tuition."

Ask your child one question tonight: why does transpiration pull water up a tall tree? If the answer is a definition rather than a reason, the current tuition is teaching the syllabus and not the subject. A free trial class settles it in an hour.
